Hariadi is currently supporting our Low Carbon Solutions business in Indonesia. He is proud of his current role and the journey that prepared him for it. “Learning never ends. Over the last two decades I supported our businesses and operations in Qatar, the U.S., Singapore, Papua New Guinea, Australia, and Indonesia. Each country gave me unparalleled working experiences. We’re always learning something new, regardless of how many years of experience we’ve had.

Tapping lithium-rich brines thousands of feet underground is a relatively new way to produce lithium, with less environmental impact than current methods like hard-rock mining. Some have called it a potential game-changer for the lithium industry.

But as Dylan notes, “The drilling and well construction techniques we’re using in our lithium project are very similar to ones we use to extract oil and natural gas – a process we’ve refined and improved over decades. This may be our first lithium well, but it’s not our first rodeo. We're using the same tactics, the same tools, and the same technologies. We’re just going after a different resource.”

Nikita grew up in Matthew’s Ridge, a small village in Guyana, where she envisioned herself becoming a teacher, doctor, or pilot - all needed in her community. She received a scholarship to study in Georgetown and ended up contributing to an unprecedented opportunity for her country.

Her work in safety and quality control for onshore and offshore operations gave her a unique perspective. “It's fun to be in the operations itself because it helps to put things into perspective. So, when you see the big picture, what it means for our community, it gives you a good feeling.”
