One of the secrets to kickstarting a successful career is having the experience and knowledge you need to be work-ready on day one. And ExxonMobil is helping equip Malaysian energy students with that capability.

Our collaboration with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in the southern Malaysian state of Johor involves preparing students for a career in energy by giving them real-world challenges, mentoring promising students and teaching important soft skills.

Providing opportunities

We’re providing UTM students who intern with us the opportunity to work with subsurface and production data. This allows them to work with the type of information they’ll encounter in their future careers.

Through these and other elements of our collaboration with UTM we’re preparing the next generation for the leap from academia to industry and contributing to a strong energy future for Malaysia.

Discover how we’re working with the next generation of Malaysia’s energy industry leaders: the effect it’s having today and the impact it could have tomorrow.
