FairPrice and ExxonMobil raise funds for Children's Aid Society through charity car wash
Singapore – NTUC FairPrice (FairPrice) and its convenience store arm Cheers, ExxonMobil and Auto Base, a car washing service company, came together for the annual charity car wash event.
All funds raised from the car wash activity that took place on 12 Nov at the Esso Station at 225 Ang Mo Kio Ave 8 will be given to the Children’s Aid Society, which aims to provide a holistic range of residential care, counselling and other specialised therapies to support the vulnerable in the community.
Mr Vipul Chawla, Group CEO, FairPrice Group, who participated in the charity car wash activity, said, “Giving back has always been part of FairPrice’s DNA and we are excited to be able to play a part towards Children’s Aid Society. Volunteer activities such as this allows us to foster a stronger collaborative and giving culture both internally and with the wider community.”
Ms Ong Shwu Hoon, Asia Pacific Fuels Vice President, ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. said, “ExxonMobil is committed to making a positive impact in the communities where we operate. Together with our alliance partner FairPrice, we hope today’s event will help the Children’s Aid Society and their community goals.”
This year marks the eighth edition of the charity car wash. The last time this activity was held was in October 2019. It was then suspended for two years for the safety of volunteers and the public due to the pandemic. The charity car wash is part of FairPrice Volunteers’ Programme which started in 2012.
