In this edition of Connection, Long Island Point Plant Manager Andrew Cooke updates us on the latest activities at our Hastings site. This includes an update on the Hastings Generation project, which will allow us an alternative way to manage excess ethane and is critical to maintaining our reliable supply of gas to Australia’s east coast.

In other Upstream news, we successfully decommissioned the Woollybutt Field in Western Australia, which is the first title to be handed back to the government post decommissioning in Commonwealth waters.

Across our Product Solutions business, the Mobil Melbourne Terminal team had hands on training for an emergency response scenario, allowing the team essential experience in assessing a situation and how to make decisions fast on their feet, in collaboration with other local stakeholders in the community.

With the Altona site now functioning as an import terminal, the use of Long-Range Vessels allows the Supply team to schedule larger ships to import more fuel, less often. The Mobil team recently toured a Long-Range vessel berthed at Gellibrand wharf to learn first-hand about the ship and how their crews and voyages operate.
