ExxonMobil Australia team members achieve leadership status through partnership with Engineers Australia
Recently, Engineers Australia held a prestigious celebratory dinner to recognise ExxonMobil team members for achieving leadership status as chartered engineers. On this night, they were awarded Fellow, Engineering Executive (EngExec) and Fellow/EngExec statuses respectively and were presented with their certificates on stage amongst their family and peers.
Chartered engineers are recognised as professionals with the highest level of engineering competence and expertise, and are nominated based on their demonstration of excellence and experience in their field through ExxonMobil’s Engineering Workforce Credentialing Program partnership with Engineers Australia.
The partnership allows team members to undertake a simpler streamlined assessment process and opens pathways to career progression and leadership development.
Simon Kemp, CCS Select Stage Manager, stated, “The streamlined chartering process between Engineers Australia and ExxonMobil Australia is far less administrative and much more focused on efficiently understanding engineering experience. I would encourage all engineers to take the opportunity to use this streamlined process while it is still available and reach out to those who have been through the process to understand what is involved.”
Farrah Tan, Decommissioning & Logistics Asset Manager, who was one of the individuals being recognised commented, “I was extremely proud to be part of the ExxonMobil Australia cohort that were recognised tonight. The experience, depth of technical knowledge and professionalism of my colleagues, is something that is truly is a competitive advantage for the company and to be able to share this moment together with them was truly special.”
John Mikac, Asia Pacific Regional Manager, who was also recognised that night noted, “Attending the Engineers Australia Leadership dinner and being recognised amongst other industry leaders was made so much more special by having a number of EM Engineering peers in attendance receiving similar recognition. It was humbling to be receiving the recognition amongst others that have contributed so much to the leadership of the Engineering profession and within our own company. It was a great reflection of the leadership and competency held within our company.”
Congratulations to everyone for their achievements!
